Important Travel Information: Train Routes from Frankfurt Airport to Mannheim
As you make arrangements for your travel to Mannheim, please be aware of a significant update regarding train bookings departure from Frankfurt Airport:
Due to construction work, some train connections from Frankfurt Airport to Mannheim will be replaced by bus services. Though these routes may still be available as train journeys online, your trip might involve a bus instead. To avoid confusion, please check your booking details carefully. If your journey includes a bus, it will be marked with a BUS label and a specific bus number in the top right corner of your ticket.
Directions to Access Direct Replacement Buses from Frankfurt Airport to Mannheim
The busses depart from Frankfurt Airport’s Long-Distance Train Station. This long-distance station is within the airport itself. Here’s how to locate and board these replacement buses:
- Exit the Platform:
After arriving at the Frankfurt Airport long-distance train station (Frankfurt am Main Flughafen Fernbahnhof), which is located directly within the airport complex, exit the train platform.
- Proceed to the Exit:
Take the exit located to the left of the DB Information counter.
- Locate the Bus Stop:
The bus stop for the replacement service is situated directly to the right of this exit.
For your convenience, the exact coordinates of the bus stop can be accessed via the QR code provided in your travel documents.
Additionally, there are specific floor stickers on the ground that you can follow to reach the bus stop.
If you have any questions or need assistance on-site, please look for the DB Information desk.
DEDG & CHIA: All employees of the German and Swiss company, please book your train ticket yourself and settle this using a travel expense report (without daily flat rates, own cost center).
GRMI: All employees of the Greek company, please book your flight ticket and train tickets yourself on travelperk. If you have any questions, please contact moc.tulosnoc@uodimonokio.aniretak.
USIL: All employees living in the USA please take care of the flight bookings yourself and of the train tickets, too.
If you need a visa to enter Germany, it is important that you take care of it yourself in good time.
Your Stay in Mannheim
All employees have the option of staying overnight in a hotel in Mannheim. If you live near Mannheim, you can stay overnight in a hotel or you are welcome to take a cab home at night and have the costs reimbursed. Cab sharing with colleagues who live close to each other is welcome.
You have the option of staying one or two nights and arriving on
- Thursday, September 12th or on
- Friday, September 13th by 10 am.
Our event is starting at 10 am. If you come directly to the venue on the day of the event in the morning, you can store your luggage there.
Additional nights for a private stay must be booked at your own expense.
Check-In Dorint
Anyone arriving on the day of the event at the 13th and staying at the Dorint Hotel can check in either during the break before dinner between 5.30 and 6.30 pm or late when you return from the event. Reception is open around the clock.

Buy your ticket
You can buy tickets in the following ways:
1. at a ticket machine (Paying with coins, bills or Cashless payment with EC card, VISA and Mastercard)
2. use the Handy-Ticket-App. (rnv/VRN Handy-Ticket: Download for iOS / Download for Android)
From the hotel to the main train station (also the consolut office), that is stop Planetarium to MA main station with line number 6, you need to buy a short adult ticket for 2,10€.
Anyone who is already in Mannheim on 12 September is cordially invited to drop by the office for a late night drink. And anyone who has team meetings on that day is also welcome to join after their team events, for example after dinner.

Our Program
Our Event Location
We celebrate in Mannheim at the Manufaktur. The building in Mannheim’s industrial port used to be a bedspring factory that has been converted into a modern event location. We have the whole building with all the rooms and the palm beach to ourselves on this day. So we have enough space both inside and outside for our daytime program as well as for our party in the evening.
The Manufaktur is located just outside the city center and the hotels. We have arranged a shuttle bus service between the two hotels and the event location.

Parking at the Manufaktur
The car parks on the fenced-in grounds of the factory belong to the companies based there. It is not possible to park there.
You can leave your car directly in the unpaved car park on the other side of the road opposite the factory.

We have selected a large number of meals and a wide range of dishes and drinks for you and hope that there will be something suitable for everyone. Vegetarians and vegans are also catered for. If you have any special intolerances, please let us know. The food is labeled.
