Description

You test the online check for the notification check.

Preparation

  • Configure the Customizing setting in accordance with IMG activity Environment, Health & Safety → Product Safety → Substance Volume Tracking → Set Up Notification Check.
  • Make sure that the Block Process and Send Message indicators have been selected as a reaction to message type error for the notification check NOTICHCK in the IMG activity Specify Quantity Limits and Reactions on Overall Status under Relative Quantity Limit Values. If the registration status cannot be determined, the check has the status Warning.
  • Maintain the user status using transaction BS02 or IMG activity Plant Maintenance and Customer Service → Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service→ Basic Settings → Define User Status.

User status for production:

  • Status profile:EHS_PRO

  • Status:PRO

  • Object types:Production order, process order

  • Details:Allow or prohibit business transactions

User status for sales:

  • Status profile:EHS_SO

  • Status:SD

  • Object types:Sales order item

  • Details:Allow or prohibit business transactions

  • If you want to block sales documents, assign the status profile EHS_SO to the required sales item types (transaction VOV7).
  • In Customizing, enter your own user for the regulatory list NOTICHCK under Specify Error Message Recipients.
  • You have created a purchase-sales material, a customer, a customer material info record, a supplier, and a purchasing info record.

Execution

  • Create a real substance for the material.
  • Assign the material to the real substance. Make sure that you have assigned only one material-substance relationship to your material.
  • Maintain the movement type registration status of the real substance under Regulations → Notification/Reporting → International → Notification Status. Add a new list substance. Create an instance for each regulatory list and maintain the composition. Do not maintain a notification status.
  • Regulatory List: Create an instance for each regulatory list that you want to check in the notification check, for example, TRI or EINECS.

  • Composition: Maintain the composition for each instance.

  • Usage: Maintain the usage with the validity are that you specified in Customizing for regulatory list NOTICHCK.

  • Maintain the movement type registration status for the list substances under Regulations → Notification/Reporting → International → Notification Status. Create an instance for each regulatory list and maintain the notification status.
  • Regulatory List: Maintain an instance for each of the regulatory lists that you want to check in the notification check, for example, TRI or EINECS.

  • Notification: For each regulatory list, maintain a positive or negative notification status, but at least a negative notification status.

  • Usage: Maintain the usage with the validity area that you specified in Customizing for the regulatory list NOTICHCK.

  • Copy the specification data by calling report RREGCH_FILL using transaction SA38. If an initial filling has already been carried out for NOTICHCK, the delta run for NOTICHCK should already have been started. Otherwise, carry out an initial filling.
  • Create a sales order for your material. Make sure that at least one component of the material has a negative notification status. Save the sales order.

Check

Check the messages in the sales order with regard to the substance volume tracking. Messages should have been issued.

The user status EHS_SO should be set and a lock entry is thereby displayed in transaction CBRC21.

You should find a relevant notification in the SAP Business Workplace, under Office → Workplace → Inbox that informs you about errors that occurred and the order lock.
