| The NI layer stores all successful name resolutions in an internal |
| buffer. This contains "forward" (host name to IP) and "reverse" (IP |
| to host name) resolutions. All valid entries, that is, previously |
| successful queries to the operating system, are answered from this |
| buffer if they are queried again. |
| This parameter defines the validity period of these entries. |
