Cause . . . . . : The following may have caused the problem:
-- Operating system Licensed Program not working correctly.
-- Vertical Licensed Internal Code not working correctly.
-- I/O card Licensed Internal Code not working correctly.
Recovery . . . : Reply to the message.
-- Type C to cancel recovery. This informs any application waiting for an operation that recovery has been canceled.
-- Type G to start the automatic communications recovery defined by the systems communications recovery limit (CMNRCYLMT) for line &23.
-- Type R to retry the operation.
If the problem continues, do one or more of the following:
-- Use the Vary Configuration (VRYCFG) command to vary off line &23, then vary on.
-- For lines that do not attach to a network interface, use the VRYCFG command to vary off line &23. Then use the VRYCFG command with RESET parameter specified as *YES if allowed to reset the input/output processor (IOP). This will also vary on line &23. If the system sends a diagnostic message because other lines are varied on, vary off the lines, then vary on line &23 with the RESET parameter specified as *YES if allowed.
-- For lines that attach to a network interface, use the VRYCFG command to vary off the network interface the line is using. Then use the VRYCFG command with the RESET parameter specified as *YES if allowed to reset the IOP and to vary on the network interface.
-- Press F14 to run problem analysis.
Possible choices for replying to message . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :
C -- Cancel recovery and inform any applications and subsystems that are waiting for an operation that the recovery has been canceled.
G -- Start the automatic communications recovery again as defined by the communications recovery limit (CMNRCYLMT) parameter configured for line &23.
R -- Try the operation one more time.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The error log identifier is &22. The error code is &40: internal system failure. If line &23 is X.25, the X.25 cause code is: &41 (&47). The X.25 diagnostic code is: &42 (&48). If line &23 connects to an ISDN network, the ISDN cause code is &43 (&45 &46) and the ISDN cause information element is &44.
