/CPD/DPP_CPM2 - Define End of Purpose for Personal Data
SUBST_MERGE_LIST - merge external lists to one complete list with #if... logic for R3up General Data in Customer MasterThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this Customizing activity, you can find information about how you specify the end of purpose (EoP) for personal data in Commercial Project Management. Personal data can be assigned partners in the system that are stored as SAP business partners. Customers and employees that you have assigned to commercial projects in the financial plans, are also considered as personal data.
According to the ILM rules stored in Commercial Project Management, the system checks for the respective business partners and whether the end of purpose has been reached. At EoP, Commercial Project Management ensures that all relevant personal data is masked once the residence period ends and stays masked until the end of the retention period, beyond which you can decide if the data needs to be archived or deleted. With respect to customers and vendors, personal data is masked when EoP has been reached.
You have activated the following business functions:
- ILM
- BUPA_ILM_BF (see also SAP Note 1825608)
- If the business function BUPA_ILM_BF is not available in your system, create a business function in your customer namespace and assign it the switch BUPA_ILM_SWITCH.
- Go to SAP Customizing Implementation Guide --> Cross-Application Components --> Data Protection --> Blocking and Unblocking of Data --> Business Partner and ensure that the following settings are made:
- Activation of BC Sets
- Activate the following BC sets:
- /CPD/CA_PWS_EOP
- /CPD/CA_PWS_APPL_EOP
- Definition and Storage of Application Names for EoP Check

- /CPD/PWS_WS_BUPA_EOP_CHECK
- /CPD/PWS_WS_C_ACT_BUPA_EOP_CHK
- Definition of ILM Policy
- In the transaction IRMPOL, define an ILM policy for the following selection criteria:
- Policy category: Retention rules
- Object category: SAP Business Suite
- Audit area: BUPA_DP
- ILM object: CA_BUPA
- You can run a simulation and test the ILM object settings and ILM policies using the transaction ILMSIM.
