Optimized shipping with AEB Carrier Cloud for SAP
Shipping with multiple carriers is a critical logistics process for cargo owners managing packages, pallets, boxes, and even container loads. To ensure smooth shipping, businesses need to deliver shipments to carriers via EDI messaging or web services, efficiently print shipping labels, and track and track shipments throughout their journey.
There is now the ideal solution for this challenge: AEB Carrier Cloud for SAP. The shipping solution is fully integrated into the SAP shipping process and optimized for communication with the transport service providers. It also makes it possible to print shipping labels directly on label printers on the shop floor during the packaging process and to provide tracking information directly in the SAP delivery, which is fully integrated into the SAP document flow.
From label printing to shipment tracking – directly in SAP
The way it works is very simple: Shipping data is transmitted from SAP S/4HANA or SAP EWM to AEB Carrier Cloud for SAP. The AEB solution then automatically generates shipping labels in the corresponding carrier-specific layout and enables them to be printed, both at individual packing stations, consolidated in the shipping office or in fully automated conveyor and labeling systems.
The result are smooth and high-performance shipping processes for all goods and all modes of transport. For this purpose, more than 300 freight forwarders and parcel services are connected to AEB Carrier Cloud for SAP. The shipment of dangerous goods, packet-by-parcel processing, proof of intra-Community deliveries (“confirmation of arrival”) and shipment tracking are also supported. Carrier Cloud for SAP can also be integrated via the Fiori launchpad and allows shipment status to be tracked directly in the SAP system.

- Connection via SAP BTP: Clean-Core-Strategy
We can connect the shipping solution via the SAP Business Technology Platform. This usually happens when companies use the SAP S/4HANA public cloud.
2. Classic Extension: On-Premises
For companies that operate their systems on-premises, a classic extension via ABAP developments in the SAP system is possible. This means that the solution is also open to SAP ECC users. If you are using SAP S/4HANA and a private cloud, you can take advantage of both types of integration.

Connection via SAP BTP: Clean Core Strategy
AEB Carrier Cloud perfectly supports the clean core strategy, as no extensions are made in the SAP core, as is often the case with traditional ABAP-based approaches. Instead, the solution relies on a flexible cloud-native architecture with the deepest integration of functionalities at the same time. This avoids sources of error and failures. Companies also benefit from significantly reduced maintenance costs and remain maximally flexible when it comes to system updates.

On-Premises
Connection on-premises: classic extension
For on-premises systems with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC 6.0 as well as for the SAP S/4HANA private cloud, our solution offers deep and flexible integration. This works independently of the warehouse management solution used in the SAP system. Whether EWM, WM, Stockroom Management or simple IM – the integration is so seamless that even the labels are written directly to the SAP print spool. The user does not notice that communication is taking place via several systems.
