ASB Informationstechnik Secures Its Future with GROW with SAP

What Is GROW with SAP?
GROW with SAP offers companies a standardized entry point into SAP Cloud ERP. Instead of developing complex processes from scratch, preconfigured best practices are available out of the box. This “fit-to-standard” approach ensures transparency and reduces coordination overhead. Automatic updates keep the system compliant, reflecting regulatory changes in real time. For ASB, this combination was decisive: a streamlined, fast path into the public cloud—without the weight of a large-scale transformation project.

To analyze business processes and define the project scope, consolut conducted a Digital Discovery Assessment (DDA) together with ASB. The focus was on a few key questions:

• Which processes should be mapped in the public cloud?
• Where are adjustments needed, and where is the SAP standard sufficient?
• Which data, roles, or workflows need to be clarified in advance?

The result was a clear, validated project roadmap that ensured a smooth and reliable SAP Cloud transformation.

Understanding Standards – Rethinking Processes
Building on this foundation, the first steps took place in the SAP starter system—using both SAP-provided test data and ASB’s own real project data—before moving on to the fit-to-standard workshops. This allowed ASB to test real scenarios early, get hands-on experience with the system, and make informed decisions based on actual system insights. A key success factor was embracing the cloud mindset: rethinking processes, challenging established routines, and leveraging the benefits of standardized workflows.

Migrating to SAP Cloud ERP enabled ASB to fundamentally modernize its data foundation. The company cleansed outdated and redundant master data, rebuilt structures, and made them consistent. Today, ASB benefits from significantly clearer and more reliable data quality.

By adopting SAP Best Practices, ASB restructured complex workflows. Processes now consist of fewer steps, are easier to follow, faster, and require less manual effort.
