Cause . . . . . : The following table shows the jobs with the highest disk I/O per second during an interval where disk %busy was above the guideline.

Recovery . . . : If response time or throughput is unacceptable, you may want to analyze these jobs further to determine if application design changes are necessary. You can reduce the number of physical I/O requests by using techniques such as blocking (OVRDBF command), avoiding database full opens (use shared), journaling to a user auxiliary storage pool (ASP), grouping job types into their own pools, and using reorganize physical file member (RGZPFM) to clean up deleted records.
