:T High binary overflow rate by job.
Nachrichtenlangtext :
Cause . . . . . : The binary data overflow exception guideline of &7 exceptions per second was exceeded by one or more jobs.
Binary data overflow exceptions are caused by binary data arithmetic operations in a program using variables that are not large enough to hold the result. High exception rates increase the CPU demands of the job. Sometimes this is intentional on the part of the programmer. When it gets extreme, consideration should be given to redesigning the specific program or redefining the variables.
Recovery . . . :
If response time or throughput is unacceptable and the overflow rates are consistently high, from day to day, contact your service representative. You may also find more information in the Transaction Report of the Performance Tools (use the print options from the STRPFRT menu or use the PRTTNSRPT command).
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The following table shows the job name, job user, job number, binary exception rate per second, the estimated CPU utilization due to binary exception processing, and the number of seconds that the job was active.
