The percentages show how each pool is performing compared to the other pools. If a pool is performing poorly, you can improve performance by moving storage between or among the pools.
No guidelines exist for the percentage of time spent page faulting. The percentage of time spent page faulting is relative to the percentage of time for all the other pools on the system. For example, if pool 2 has a percentage of .3, and pool 3 has a percentage of .5, move storage from pool 2 to pool 3.
Check to see if the jobs that are performing poorly (as measured by end user response time or throughput) are in a pool where the percentage of time spent page faulting is high. If the percentage is high, add storage. If the percentage is low, look for other ways to improve performance.
