work process

Component of an AS ABAP . Work processes execute applications written in ABAP. There are various types of work processes for different applications: dialog, enqueue, background, spool, and update work processes. Each work process is registered for the complete runtime of an on to the standard database of AS ABAP as a database user using a standard connection. In dialog processing, a work process is assigned to an ABAP program for the duration of a dialog step.
