Purpose

This report creates a snapshot for a given day based on the time of execution, and the snapshot time configuration as defined in the CMM_DEND_SNAPSHOT transaction. A snapshot is required for end-of-day processes to accurately consolidate and valuate documents within a certain timeframe.

Note:
With this report, a snapshot can only be created for the current or the next day.

Integration

You can integrate this report into the Financial Closing Cockpit. For more information, see the Customizing (transaction SPRO) under Cross-Application Components → Financial Closing Cockpit Add-On → Template Maintenance → Define Templates and Task Groups.

Prerequisites

Features

You use this report to create a snapshot for a given day. A snapshot is essential for the valuation of documents on given day or timeframe. This report requires the snapshot time configuration to be set-up for the portfolio hierarchy and node combination in transaction CMM_DEND_SNAPSHOT. If the snapshot time configuration is not set-up, the report will not create a snapshot for the respective portfolio hierarchy and node combination.

Selection

To run this report, you must enter the portfolio hierarchy and the node.

Standard Variants

Output

The report displays a message indicating whether the creation of the snapshot was succesful. To check the messages, you can use the application log of transaction SLG1 with the following criteria:

Subobject	DEND_PREP
External ID	SNAPSHOT

Activities

Example

The snapshot time for portfolio hierarchy 1 and portfolio hierarchy node 1 is set at 2pm CET. If the report is executed for this combination of portfolio hierarchy and node prior to 2pm on a given day, a snapshot would be created for the same day. If the report is executed after 2pm CET on a given day, a snapshot would be created for the next day.
