Title

Material Master AFS Dimension Data Migration.

Purpose

Prior to Release 3.0, the material master for AFS dimension data was stored in table J_3AMAD, which is maintained at plant level.

However, the AFS dimension data is plant-independent.

Therefore the data must be transferred from the old table (J_3AMAD) to the new table (/AFS/MARM), which is plant independent.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

Selection

You can run the report for combinations of more than one material and plant.

You can also run the report in simulation or update mode.

Standard Variants

Output

  • In simulation mode, the report displays the data that must be transferred to the table.
If an error occurs, it is highlighted red.
  • In update mode, the report displays the data that is to be updated in the table
If an error occurs, it is highlighted red and the affected data record is not updated in the table.
  • In error mode, the report displays the errors that occurred and highlights these red.

Activities

You can run the report for a combination of more than one material and plant.

You can run the report either in simulation mode or update Mode.

You use the report to transfer the material master of AFS dimension data from table J_3AMAD to table /AFS/MARM.

The report displays the list of what must be transferred and what is actually transferred from table J_3AMAD to table /AFS/MARM.

If the data already exists in the table /AFS/MARM, the report does not transfer this data.

If a record with the same key combination exists but the other values are different, that record is highlighted red and the report does not update it in the table.

Special Case:

A material that is maintained for more than one plant can have more than one master record.

This leads to redundant data: If the data in the two plants is different, the inconsistent data is highlighted red. If the data in the two plants is the same, the report displays only one record.
