Purpose
The change log viewer of SAP Application Interface Framework (AIF) displays all changes that users made to the following entities:
- Data messages
- Value mappings
- External contacts
The AIF change log helps you to track user activities and fulfill data protection and privacy requirements.
Integration
You can archive the change logs using the AIF-specific write program
Prerequisites
Features
Selection
- Types
- You can select the entity types for which you want to display the changes. Depending on this selection, additional type-specific selection criteria are displayed.
- Dates
- You can define a date and time range of the changes you want to see.
- Message Content
- Enabled if Message Content is selected under Types. Wildcards are allowed. Leaving one of the fields empty results in the selection of all relevant objects. Choosing Select Interface opens a pop-up with a more convenient hierarchical selection.
- Value Mapping
- Enabled if Value Mapping is selected under Types. Wildcards are allowed. Leaving one of the selection fields empty results in the selection of all relevant objects.
- External Contact
- Enabled if External Contact is selected under Types. Wildcards are allowed. Leaving one of the selection fields empty results in the selection of all relevant objects.
Standard Variants
Output
The object hierarchy tree on the left hand side allows you to select the changed objects on different levels. You can select one node or multiple nodes within the same type and choose Read to display the corresponding log entries on the right hand side.
For each message content change, the following is displayed:
- GUID of the data message
- Message namespace
- Message interface and interface version
- Path of the changed field
- New and old field value
- Date and time of the change
For each value mapping change, the following is displayed:
- Value mapping namespace
- Value mapping name
- Value mapping index
- Name of the changed field
- New and old field value
- Date and time of the change
For each external contact change, the following is displayed:
- GUID of the external contact
- External contact name
- Name of the changed field
- New and old value
- Date and time of the change
For reasons of data protection, the user ID of the user who made the changes is displayed in the list only when the person executing the log has the additional authorization for displaying this information.
