Purpose

The Data Correction Report is used to correct data and/or application logs that were processed by the SAP Application Interface Framework but are now inconsistent with the SAP NetWeaver PI master.

Selection

The Data Correction Reportselection screen offers various selection options as follows:

  • Generic Selection
Defines the interfaces for which the report is to be run. You are able to insert the values directly or by choosing the Select Interface pushbutton. The Output Execution Details checkbox defines whether details are output or not.
  • Correction of Single Index Tables
If the Check/Fix message with Canceled status checkbox is selected, then the SAP NetWeaver PI message master is searched for canceled messages (status 021 or 020). The index tables are updated with the data entries from the found SAP NetWeaver PI messages. If the Check/Fix Deleted/Archived messages checkbox is selected, non-existing SAP NetWeaver PI messages are deleted from the index tables. You can use the Creation Date field to restrict the selection of the messages.
  • Correction of Message Index Table
Checks the SAP Application Interface Framework index tables and deletes it.
  • Correction of Application Log
Checks if application log entries still exist in table sxmspmast. Messages that cannot be found are deleted.
  • Correction for Alert Index Tables
Verifies the Alert Index table with recipient definition.
  • Correction of Message Statistics
If this checkbox is selected, the message statistics are checked and regenerated.

Standard Variants

After the Data Correction Report is run, an overview is produced showing the result of the correction report.
