/AIF/DELETE_STRUCTURE_CACHE - Delete Cache of Structures

Purpose

This transaction deletes the internal structure cache of the SAP Application Interface Framework.

The structure cache is used to improve the performance of the SAP Application Interface Framework for both the development time of interfaces and message processing. Once a structure is accessed by the SAP Application Interface Framework, it is cached and will not be read from the data dictionary any more. Consequently, if you change a structure that is used in an interface, you must execute this transaction to guarantee that the field help is correct for interface development and to prevent errors during runtime.

Selection

You can select the interface you want the structure cache to be deleted for. Leaving a field blank will select all the corresponding objects.

Standard Variants

Output

After successful execution, the report displays a message stating that deleting the structure cache was successful.

Activities

Example

If you change a structure that is used in an interface, this transaction must be executed.

If you change a structure in the development system and want to transport it to your quality assurance and / or productive system(s), this report has to be executed for the related interfaces immediately after the import succeeded.
