Purpose

You use this report to create one or more structures from an IDoc basic type and the corresponding interface definition in the SAP Application Interface Framework (AIF).

The report can create structures from basic type / extension combinations.

The created structure consists of the control record, the basic types' segments and, if selected, the segments of the extension. It is possible to create several structures for a basic type.

The report also provides optional functionality to create a corresponding AIF interface definition for the newly created structures.

Integration

The created structure can be used in the AIF interface definition as data structure (RAW or SAP structure) for the following scenarios:

• IDocs are processed by the standard IDoc runtime and are monitored only in AIF.

• IDocs are processed by the AIF runtime that calls the IDoc standard process function module using an AIF action.

• IDocs are processed by the AIF runtime that calls a user-specific action.

• IDocs are processed by the ALE runtime and the AIF enabler writes index tables and application logs.

• IDocs are processed by the ALE runtime and the AIF enabler writes index tables but no application logs.

• IDocs are processed by the AIF runtime that calls the IDoc standard process function module using an AIF action, and pre-processing is supported.

Selection

To create a structure or an interface or both, the following data has to be specified:

• Basic type

• Root structure name

Additional general information can be added as well:

• Message type

• Extension

• Destination for remote search

When an existing structure is given as the root structure name, the system asks for your confirmation before overwriting it. Clicking the search button lists existing structures that have already been used in interfaces for the given basic type. If you enter a value in the field Destination for Remote Search, the search will use this logic destination.

Output

The report displays a result table listing all the created / updated / deleted DDIC objects and the generated interface key, or any errors.
