Purpose

This program enables you to restart AIF persistence messages that you cannot restart using the Error Handling and Monitoring (transaction /AIF/ERR) of SAP Application Interface Framework.

Integration

The system performs authorization checks based on the transaction code and the standard authorization objects for the AIF namespace.

Prerequisites

For some reason, the enabler for AIF got terminated during the inbound processing of a package of messages. This means that the job executing the enabler got cancelled (see transaction SM37).

In the Error Handling and Monitoring, you see messages in status New, Started, or In Process which you cannot restart from there. You need to use this program to restart the stuck messages.

Features

Selection

AIF Interface Selection

You can enter a certain AIF namespace, interface name and interface version. By choosing Interface Selection you can access a dialog to select an interface from the list.

Generic Selection

For the creation date, you can select one of the pre-defined date ranges or enter a date and time range of your choice.

You can also select messages by the following parameters:

  • Message GUID: Unique Identifier of the message
  • Create User: ID of the user who initially processed the message
  • Queue Message Status: Status of the messages
  • Max. Numbers of Messages: Default is 200

Status Selection

Only messages with the selected status (In Process, Application Errors, Technical Errors) are displayed. You can also choose one of the following options:

  • Select All: Display all messages that have been stopped with an error and those that are still in process.
  • Select Errors: Display only messages that have been stopped with an error.

Runtime Configuration Group

You can choose to use the runtime configuration groups that are already assigned to the messages, by leaving Use Default Group(s) selected.

Or you can go for a different group by unselecting Use Default Group(s) and entering another group. After unselecting, you need to press Enter to be able to enter a group.

Standard Variants

Output

Activities

From the result table of selected messages, you can, again, select messages and trigger their restart.

Once started, you can cancel the processing of the messages if required.
