Purpose

The Base Transaction for Value Mappings is used to create a parameter transaction by calling the base transaction with some predefined parameters. The value mappings transaction can be triggered directly by calling the parameter transaction.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

Selection

A namespace and the name of the value mapping need to be inserted. In addition, the database table type can be defined and the type of the value mapping. The database table type can be C for Customizing or M for Master. The type of the value mapping can be S for a single value mapping, which means that one external value is mapped to one internal value. Conversely, the type could be M for multiple value mapping. In this case, several external values are mapped to one internal value.

If the Skip checkbox is selected, the selection screen of the Base Transaction for Value Mappings is not shown when the transaction is called. Instead, the value mapping is displayed immediately.

If the Change checkbox is selected, it indicates that the transaction will be started in change mode. Otherwise, it's started in read-only mode.

The Send_Sys field is used in the case where the value mapping is only valid for a specific business system.

Standard Variants

Output

Depending on the selection criteria you have used, the selection screen of the Base Transaction for Value Mappingsis displayed or you are forwarded directly to the value mapping.

Activities

Create a parameter transaction in the Object Navigator (SE80) and define the default values for the transaction code.
