Purpose

Deletion Report for Organizational Entities

You should only use the deletion report should be used if you are familiar with the concept of creation of organizational units within S/4 HANA Cloud Content (usage of the Organizational Structure App)

Organizational units can be created both before and after the initial activation of S/4 HANA Cloud Content, and the deletion report can also be used before and after the initial activation. However, in both cases, the deletion report only deletes values that are existing in the installation files (Solution Builder).

Especially in the post activation approach, this report does not delete keys which are already available in SAP IMG tables. In this case, you must delete the entries from SAP IMG tables manually. You will need to ensure that no postings have been made against the organizational entities that you wish to delete. The deletion report does conduct several checks prior to deletion, however the deletion report does not check this condition.

Solution

You can choose the solution that contains the organizational units that you wish to delete. You can change the default selection for the solution which is the customer solution.

Furthermore, the text displays the information whether the selected solution is non-activated or activated.

Within the section Display selection on the selection screen, you can choose one of three radio buttons:

Display relevant activities

This option displays all the activities in all scope items which include the organizational unit that you have chosen in section Choose Org unit and provide ID within the selected solution.

This option does not perform any deletion of records.

Run checks & display log

This option provides a log of the checks that the deletion report processes to determine whether the organizational unit that you have chosen can be deleted. The log displays the results for the following checks:

CHK 1: Deletion can be done as this is Q system

CHK 2: Org-Unit I not present in P system

CHK 3: Org-Unit has been created by customer

CHK 4: Org-Unit has not been used as source for another org-unit

CHK 5: Org-unit has not been used as non-key field in other configurations

CHK 6: Org-Unit is not used in A3C Content

CHK 7: Org-Unit is not combined type

CHK 8: The Org-unit does not have any child entities

If any check fails, the processing is ended and the result is displayed on the log.

This option does not perform any deletion of records.

Delete entity and display log

This option processes all the checks that are defined for the deletion report (see Run checks & display log) for the organizational unit that you have chosen. If all checks return a positive result, the report will remove the entry for the organizational unit from all identified installation files. The report will display a log of the check processes to determine whether the organizational unit that you have chosen can be deleted. The log displays the results for the checks.

If any check fails, the processing is ended, no deletion is carried out and the result is displayed on the log.

If all checks are made successfully the deletion of the organizational unit is completed e result the processing is ended, no deletion is carried out and the result is displayed on the log.

Choose Org. unit and provide ID

You can choose the organizational unit type for which you want to delete an organizational unit, for example company code, plant. You can also enter the id of the organizational unit for wish you wish to execute the deletion. Once you have made this selection, choose Execute (F8).

You cannot delete additional assignments, for example between shipping point and plant, or combined types, for example distribution chain. These organizational unit types are included in the list with the text (deletion of this entity not supported).
