Purpose

You use this report to create or edit time allocations for technical objects. In addition, you can create new technical objects in SAP Multiresource Scheduling by creating at least one time allocation for them.

You can create time allocations for the following technical object types:

  • Equipment
  • Functional location
  • Installed base
  • Component
  • Individual object

Integration

Prerequisites

You have made the following settings in Customizing for SAP MultiresourceScheduling:

  • You have activated the integration of technical objects under Sources of Demand --> Demand Settings --> Control Integration of Technical Objects.
  • You have activated the creation of technical object resources under Basic Settings --> Configure Basic Settings.
  • You have assigned time allocation types to technical object resources under Basis --> Assign Time Allocation Types to Resource Types.

Features

Selection

To run the report, make the following entries:

  • Technical object key: This is the ID of the technical object in the source system (for example, the SAP ERP system).
Note:
If alternative labels have been defined for a technical object in PM, the primary label is used in SAP Multiresource Scheduling to identify the technical object.
  • Technical object type: Enter the type of technical object as it is used in the source system (for example, equipment or functional location).
  • Logical system: This is the system in which the technical object was originally created (for example, the SAP ERP system).
  • Start and end date: This defines the period for which time allocations are to be created.
  • Processing options: Specify whether you want to create time allocations one day at a time or whether you want to create multiple time allocations at once at regular intervals. The following applies:
  • Create from List:

If you select this radio button and execute the report, the system displays all time allocations that exist for the specified time period. You can edit or delete entries, or create new time allocations.
  • Create from Pattern:

If you select this radio button, you are provided additional selection options. For example, you can specify whether you want to create time allocations at regular intervals (for example, every second day). To do so, choose view type Daily. If you want to be even more specific, choose view type Weekly. This enables you, for example, to create a weekly maintenance schedule for technical objects. You can use the Delayed By field to specify that, for a particular day, the first time allocation is to be delayed by a certain number of weeks.
  • You can specify that time allocations that already exist in the specified period of time are to be deleted.
  • For the technical object type Functional Location, you can specify that the subitems belonging to the technical object are updated with new or changed time allocations.

To create new technical objects in SAP Multiresource Scheduling, you enter the technical object key as it exists in the source system and proceed as described above. This option is relevant if you want to create time allocations for technical objects for which no demand exists yet in SAP Multiresource Scheduling.
