Purpose

You can use this report to transfer work centers and organizational units from the source system as capacity planning nodes to SAP Multiresource Scheduling.

The following scenarios exist:

  • Scenario A: You transfer work centers and their capacities from SAP ERP to SAP Multiresource Scheduling.
In this case, you use this report in a way that is similar to report /MRSS/SGE_PN_MNT. However, in contrast to /MRSS/SGE_PN_MNT, you start this report in the SAP Multiresource Scheduling system and enter the planning node number instead of the work center and plant.
Notes:
  • In this scenario, you can assign work centers to either one planning node, multiple planning nodes, or no planning node at all using transaction CR02 (in SAP ERP). In SAP Multiresource Scheduling, each work center is represented by one separate capacity planning node.

  • If the human resource capacity scenario is active (see Customizing activity Configure Planning Node Capacity Calculation) and the human resources belong to a planning node that is linked to multiple work centers, the capacity of the resources is displayed multiple times (once for each work center). Also, the planned assignments are displayed multiple times.

  • Scenario B: You transfer organizational units from SAP CRM to SAP Multiresource Scheduling.
In this case, you specify the planning node that is used in SAP CRM as well as the logical system.
Note:
Since no work centers exist in SAP CRM, you cannot assign them to planning nodes using CR02. In SAP Multiresource Scheduling, each SAP CRM planning node is represented by a separate capacity planning node.
  • Scenario C: You transfer work centers from SAP ERP and organizational units from SAP CRM to SAP Multiresource Scheduling as unique capacity planning nodes.
In this case, you specify the planning node that is used in SAP ERP or the planning node that is used in SAP CRM and the logical system.
Note:
In this scenario, you must assign the work centers in SAP ERP to exactly one planning node using transaction CR02. Only then can the system create a unique capacity planning node in SAP Multiresource Scheduling to record the demand work.

Integration

For demand types that do not have an SAP ERP work center, you specify the planning node capacity, that is, the distribution of the demand work across working days, in Customizing for SAP Multiresource Scheduling under Settings for Capacity and Demand Overview --> Define Distribution of Demand Work after running this report.
