Purpose
You use this report to upload global and plant level reason codes to the OEE master data tables.
You maintain the reason codes in an MS excel file, convert it to an XML file and use this report to upload the XML file containing the reason codes.
The format in which the reason code data should be maintained in the MS excel file is available in SAP Note 2221155.
Integration
Prerequisites
- Maintain reason code data in the format specified in the template (see SAP Note 2221155).
- Microsoft excel file is saved in XML format and is ready for uploading.
- When uploading plant level reason codes, ensure the data maintained in the excel file is only for a single plant. You cannot upload data for two plants at a time.
- Save data in the excel file inText format before converting it to an XML file. This helps the system to read the XML correctly.
Features
Selection
The report helps you to do a mass upload of master data for global level reason codes and plant level reason codes.
In both cases you have the option to either:
- Merge the uploaded data with the existing data
- Overwrite the existing data
- System marks the existing data for soft delete but does not delete the records in the master data tables. In effect the overwritten data is no longer available for selection from the OEE dashboard when assigning reason codes.
- Note: If you overwrite global reason codes, the existing global reason code data will be soft deleted. Subsequently the plant reason codes mapped to the overwritten global reason codes will also be soft deleted.
