/PM0/ABC_IBC_MSG4_IMPORT_SIM - Execute IFBC Import In Simulation Mode

Purpose

You can execute the import of product tables and listing values in simulation mode. In simulation mode, the import does not change any data in In-Force Business Configurator.

Prerequisites

You have performed the PSV import (see second pushbutton Execute PSV Import).

• Problem Class

Here you determine which messages are displayed in the log.

The standard setting is 2 for Important. The system then displays messages of the Important problem class and higher (= Very Important). Less important messages are not recorded, and thus do not appear in the log.

• You can automatically remove certain import locks that have been set.

• You can make a setting to determine to what extent the characteristic attributes are automatically completed (see Automatic Determination of Characteristic Attributes).

• You can make a setting to determine to what extent in-force-business-controlling attributes are deleted (see Automatic Cleanup of Attributes).

• You can make a setting to determine whether you want to reimport deliveries that were already imported (see data element Ignore Time Stamp - Import All).

• You can make a setting to determine that, on the import of listing values, the imported texts are automatically updated (see Update Texts for Listing Values).

• You can make a setting to determine that the texts in non-delivered languages are kept on import of the listing values (see Texts of Listing Values: Keep Non-Delivered Languages).

• You can make a setting to determine whether you want to suppress the import of listing values (see the data element IFBC Import: Listing Values Will Not Be Imported (/pm0/abc_ibc_no_enum_import_fg).

Output

The system displays a log after the import.

Activities

1. Execute the IFBC import first in simulation mode. You can then view the log of the simulation run and correct any problems that may occur.
2. Only start the update run after the simulation run.
