Purpose
PRA DATA Optimization solution for valuation tables is based on below concept:
Reversal lines in a posted VL document have no future purpose, RAD document can be used as point of reference. So, reversal records in the database table /PRA/VL_ACC_DOC from posted VL documents (Current or PPN) can be deleted.
- The report presents a selection screen offering five selection parameters i.e. (A) Run Date (by default set as SY-DATUM); (B) Delivery Network; (C) Sales Month; (D) Valuation Doc No; (E) Document Year
- Any one of the selection input is required otherwise program execution gets cancelled.
- Once input(s) is(are) provided, you can continue with the execution of the report, which schedules a background job that will perform the deletion of reversal lines from staging tables. When the background job is successfully submitted, job name gets displayed at the bottom of the selection screen.
- All the reversal line items for the above selection parameters are fetched from /PRA/VL_ACC_DOC as well as its corresponding child tables for further deletion.
- Once the background job is complete, check the 'Job Log' to see all the affected VL Doc No along with Doc Year. Same records also get stored in /PRA/REV_DEL_LOG table as well.
