/SALM/DATA_BUFFER_DELETE - Data Buffer Delete for Release/Change Request Management Dashboard

Purpose

The program allows to delete the dashboard caches.

SAP recommends to delete all dashboard caches during test and configuration phase.

Data Caches are automatically deleted after each data extraction.

The following cache deletions can be executed:

Customizing: Dashboard related KPI Cusomizing Cache must be deleted

after being changed after Customizing change in development system or

related transport being imported into Test or Production System.

Customizing cache must be deleted after customizing changes.

Data: Data Cache can be deleted during test phases

User related cache can be deleted by assigning user.

User cache is used within a session and allows to improve navigation

within release dashboard. Usually User cache only needs to be deleted

during intensive parallel testing with the same user but not during

productive use.

Data Caches are automatically deleted after each data extraction executed by program /SALM/DATA_EXTRACTION_PPMITSM

ST-OST is installed and related dashboards used

Customizing = 'X' => Delete Dashboard related customizing cache after customizing was changed

Data = 'X' => Delete Data Cache and retrieve from tables filled by Data Extractor program /SALM/DATA_EXTRACTION_PPMITSM

When setting Customizing = 'X', all dashboard related customizing caches will be deleted and next dashbaort start will recreate cache from scratch

When setting Data = 'X', all data caches of dashboards will be deleted and next dashboard start will recreated data caches from scratch
