Purpose

One or more transport requests should be reassigned from one change document to another change document. This should apply for released transport requests as well and should be done in the same project.

This could be required as e.g. the scope of a change has been changed or needs to be changed.

Integration

This is fully integrated to ChaRM and requires the assignment to a change.

Prerequisites

Customizing needs be maintained:

/SALM/REASSIGN_C - Here it needs to be maintained which transaction types and status values are allowed for the reassignment. It is required to maintain values for the source and the target change.
From a semantical point of view both changes must not be successfully tested and require retest as their scope has been adjusted.

Authorization:

A specific authorization is required to perform this action. The authorization object which is checked is /SALM/RATR and the activity 65 (Reorganize) must be assigned.
If TA Code /SALM/RATR should be used also this must be added

Guideline: The authorization should only be granted to change manager roles, release manager roles, SAP Basis , potentially SCRUM Masters.

Status:

The involved changes need to be in the customized status values. Only then the correct selection is possible. The search helps are intelligent for the changes and only provide selections for the valid values.

Project Assignment:

The changes need to be in the same project from a SAP Solution Manager project point of view.

Features

The report performs the reassignment of the selected transports based on the supplied changes. The customizing is evaluated and all prerequisites are automatically checked. In the selected changes a logging message is put to the changes and application logs are created.

The reports features a test mode to make sure everything is working correctly and you can check if the reassignment will work when executing the database updates.

Target Change: This change should receive

Standard Variants
