Purpose

The report Clean-Up Temporary Entries for the ATP Analytics Log (/SAPAPO/ATPA_DEL_INT_DB_TABLES) is relevant if you use ATP (available-to-promise) analytics and have activated the logging of ATP check results that are created by an online ATP check, batch backorder processing, and enhanced interactive backorder processing. You use the report to clean-up the intermediate tables for ATP analytics.

The intermediate tables store the results of ATP checks temporarily until the orders have been updated successfully in SAP ERP and SAP APO. Upon a successful update, the system updates the log for ATP analytics with the temporary entries from the intermediate tables. Since the temporary entries in the intermediate tables are no more needed, the system deletes them from the intermediate tables.

If the update of an order cannot be completed successfully, however, a clean-up of the intermediate tables is required. The reason is that the system cannot update the ATP analytics log and delete the entries in the intermediate tables, resulting in obsolete entries in the intermediate tables.

Note

To update an order with the latest confirmations, SAP APO sends the order to SAP ERP (through a CIF queue) where the original order document is updated. Upon the update, SAP ERP sends the order back to SAP APO (through a CIF queue). This update process can fail, for example, if queues are deleted.

Caution

If you delete the entries in the intermediate tables before an order has been updated in SAP APO, the system does not update the ATP analytics log with the ATP check results and the ATP check results are not available in the SAP Fiori applications for ATP.
