Purpose

The report /SAPAPO/CURTO_CREATE_DP_RTO generates production data structures that can be used in Demand Planning. PP/DS and SNP production data structures can both be used as templates for generation. However, the system does not differentiate if the objects used originate from production data structures that were generated from R/3 or generated from iPPE data.

The generation of the DP production data structure explodes the master data on multiple levels for a product that was specified on the interface, and collects the materials that are relevant for DP. Materials that are planning-relevant for DP are transferred to the DP production data structure. Materials that are not marked as DP-relevant in the product master are not transferred to the DP production data structure. However, their BOMs are still exploded to transfer any existing DP-relevant materials to the DP production data structure.

The material for which the DP production data structure is generated must be DP-relevant. In addition, a valid production data structure with a valid source of supply must also exist for this material.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

Selection

A DP production data structure can be generated independently or dependently of the plant.

Either PP/DS or SNP production data structures are used for generation, depending on the selection.

If several production data structures are found for a BOM level, the user can select according to costs or procurement priority on the access screen depending on selection parameters. When selecting costs, the user can decide between single-level and multilevel costs.

Generating and regenerating DP production data structures allows DP production data structures to be regenerated for materials for which no object exists under the specified conditions. For regenerations, all DP production data structures for a material, plant, or model assignment specified on the interface are updated, including those that are marked to be changed in the table /SAPAPO/RTOBOM.

The lot size is entered on the access screen. This lot size is used for exploding the BOM and determines the quantity of the components for the DP production data structure to be generated.

The explosion date determines with which validity date the production data structures are selected. Objects that have no valid source of supply for this date are not selected.

The system can generate the name for a DP production data structure. The name consists of the first 20 characters of the material number, the plant, continuous numbering, and the suffix -DP. To create the name manually, the user can enter the name with the 'Manual Name Assignment' button. Note that the name of source of supply is unique.

The data for the generated production data structure have no influence on the selection, but are stored in the regenerated source of supply and determine their validity.

Standard Variants

Output

After the PDS has been generated successfully, the system creates a log that you can read in the application log with the object 'APO' and the subobject 'DP-PDS'.
