Purpose

On the tab page Decision Trees -> Node Definitions you can do the following:

  • Create and edit node definitions for the current decision tree
  • Create and edit conditions directly in the node definition
  • Create new activities directly in the node definition
  • Run a consistency check for the current decision tree

Overview of the Pushbuttons

The following explains the pushbuttons you specifically use for defining the decision tree. The standard pushbuttons you are already familiar with from other applications (for example, insert row, refresh) are not described here.

1 Step Back
With this pushbutton you can go back one editing step. However, this pushbutton has no effect after you have saved.

Move Entries Up
To get a better overview of the tree definition, you can insert any number of blank rows between each node definition. When you choose this pushbutton after you have finished defining the tree, the entries are moved together and the blank rows removed.

Maintain Cond.
With this pushbutton you can create a condition or edit an existing condition. Enter the name of the new or existing condition in the appropriate field. Then choose this pushbutton. You can edit the condition on the right-hand side of the tab page.

Create New Activity
With this button you can create a new activity. Enter the name of the new activity in the appropriate field. Then choose this pushbutton. You can define the activity on the right-hand side of the tab page. To edit existing activities, go to the Activities tab page.

Consistency Check
With this pushbutton you can have the system check the consistency of the current decision tree. You will see information on the consistency of your decision tree in a separate dialog box.
