Activities

To run this report, you can fill the required fields (Locationand Date From). To filter the results further, you can fill the non-required fields (Product Number, Production Planner IDand Date To) and select either one of the screens:

  • Stock Levels- To maintain details of safety stock, maximum stock levels, safety days' supply, and max. days of supply
  • Stock Penalties- To define the penalty that will be charged if the safety stock or the maximum stock levels are not maintained. For example, the penalty for insufficient safety stock and the cost for exceeding the maximum stock on hand

Features

  • When you create an entry for a product location for the first time, only the Date Fromfield needs to be filled. The Date Tofield gets auto populated as 31/12/9999.
  • If you insert a new row between two existing entries in the table, the consecutive entries get auto adjusted according to the dates in the new row.
  • You can split an entry into two using the Split Row into Twobutton where the splitting dates are within the interval of the original entry.
  • The start date of the date range (in the initial screen) cannot be in the past.
  • The stock levels are stored in base unit of measure.
  • Only entries with dates in future can be edited or deleted in the table. Stock levels with dates in the past cannot be modified or removed.
  • For new entries, you can create new records by taking into consideration values from material master. To do this, enable the 'Create Time Dependent Stock Levels and Penalties based on material master' checkbox under the 'Default Values' section.
Note on Deletion:
If an entry already exists before the one that is deleted then the penalties of the previous entry will be imposed on the interval, for which the entry has been deleted.
For example:
Existing records: 01/01/2020 – 10/01/2020; 11/01/2020 – 31/12/9999.
Record to be deleted: 11/01/2020 – 31/12/9999.
Resultant record: 01/01/2020 – 31/12/9999
  • The following buttons on the selection screen helps in:
  • Display button: Displays existing entries

  • Edit button: Allows you to modify and maintain existing entries only

  • Create button: Allows you to edit existing entries as well as view proposals for products with no entries. To save proposed entries, select the corresponding checkboxes before saving.

Default Values

For a given product and location combination while working with a new product, there are two possibilities:

If you have not maintained any data in the TDS transaction, and you enable the checkbox 'Create data based on Material Master', the default values are fetched from the material master. One new entry is added for every valid product-location combination you choose from the selection screen.

If you have already maintained the data in the TDS transaction, and still enable this checkbox, then, the data that you maintained is populated, and the default values from material master are ignored.

The following default values are fetched from material master:

For Stock Levels

·,,Value of Safety Stock is fetched from the Safety Stock field in MRP2 tab of material master.

·,,Value of Max Stock is fetched from the Maximum Stock Level field in MRP1 tab of material master.

·,,Value of Safety Days' Supply is fetched from the Safety Days field in MRP2 tab of material master.

For Stock Penalties

·,,Value of Safety Stock Penalty is fetched from the Safety Stock Penalty field in the Advanced Planning tab of material master.
