/SAPPO/ARCHIVING_SWITCH - Report for Conversion of Archiving from AR_ENGINE to SARA

Purpose

You use this report to convert the archiving of PPO orders from the Archiving Engine (transaction AR_ENGINE) to Archive Administration (transaction SARA). With Archive Administration (SARA), you can also use ILM.

Integration

After the conversion, you have to use transaction SARA for archiving. You can then no loner archive postprocessing orders with Archiving Engine.

Prerequisites

Features

• In the archiving settings (transaction AOBJ), the report adds the following reports:

Name	Description
/SAPPO/PREPROCESS	Analyze
/SAPPO/DELETE	Delete
/SAPPO/RELOAD	Reload

• The archiving of postprocessing orders with Archiving Engine is deactivated.

• For this reason, you can only start the report in the development system. If you have not selected the Simulation checkbox, the settings you have changed are written to a transport request. Your changes are then transported to the test system or the productive system.

To perform the conversion, proceed as follows:

1. Call report /SAPPO/ARCHIVING_SWITCH.
2. Deselect the Active checkbox.
3. Execute the report. Enter the appropriate transport request.
