SAP E-Book

Purpose

Execute this report to define tasks as general tasks. General tasks can be executed by any user defined in the system. In the General Task Maintenance transaction (PFTC), you can restrict the number of persons who are actually allowed to perform the task. For approval of user accounts, this can depend on the organizational unit to which the new user account belongs.

You must perform this activity when you the initialize the SRM system, otherwise the SAP Business Workflow cannot determine which approvers are allowed to be assigned to the corresponding task.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

Selection

Identify the task that you want to process by:

  • Selecting the task type and by entering the eight-digit task number.
  • Entering the task abbreviation in the Task field, using the F4-help if applicable.

Standard Variants

Output

When executed, the report lists all dependent tasks of the previously identified task:

  • Tasks that are already defined as general tasks are marked as 'Done'.
  • Dependent background tasks that cannot be defined as general tasks are marked as 'No Action Required'.
  • Tasks without a valid assignment of allowed agents are marked as 'Action Required'.

Activities

Generalize all tasks without a valid assignment of allowed agents or, alternatively, define the allowed agents of these tasks in the above-mentioned transaction.
