Purpose

You can use the report to trigger the subsequent freight unit building for internal TM component integration. The report creates freight units for ERP documents that have a logistics integration profile that is not configured for automatic freight unit building.

There is no need to run the report to consider updates to ERP documents in the assigned freight units. If changes are made to an ERP document for which the system has already created freight units, the system also updates the relevant freight units accordingly.

Prerequisites

You have made the settings for order and delivery integration. For more information, see the configuration guide.

Features

Selection

There are several selection options to create freight units:

  • Purchasing Documents
You can enter selection criteria to specify the purchasing documents for which SAP TM shall create freight units. You need to fill at least one of the selection criteria.
The following purchasing documents are considered in the selection:
  • Purchase Orders

  • Stock Transfer Orders

  • Return Purchase Orders

  • Return Stock Transfer Orders

  • Scheduling Agreements

  • Stock Transfer Scheduling Agreements

  • Sales Documents
You can enter selection criteria to specify the sales documents for which SAP TM shall create freight units. You need to fill at least one of the selection criteria.
The following sales documents are considered in the selection:
  • Sales Orders

  • Return Sales Orders

  • Delivery Documents
You can enter selection criteria to specify the delivery documents for which SAP TM shall create freight units. You need to fill at least one of the selection criteria.
The following delivery documents are considered in the selection:
  • Outbound Delivery

  • Inbound Delivery

  • Parallel Processing Profile
You can define a parallel processing profile in case you want to execute the report in parallel mode.
  • Additional Settings
  • Package Size

You can define a package size that controls the number of documents to be included in one run of the freight unit builder. If the number of selected documents is greater than the defined package size, the freight unit builder is called several times. The report is not executed in parallel processing mode. This package size definition is only used to control the number of documents per call of the freight unit builder.

  • Exclude Docs with auto. FUB

You can choose to include only those documents with a logistics integration profile that does not allow automatic freight unit building.

  • Detailed Application Log

If the detailed application log is activated, the application log shows exactly which freight units were created for a business document and for which business documents the freight unit building failed. If the indicator is not set only the general number of relevant documents and the created or updated freight units are logged.

Standard Variants

Output

The system creates an application log describing the created freight units. Depending on the setting chosen for the detailed application log, the log describes which freight units are created for each ERP document or only the number of created freight units in relation of the selected ERP documents.
