Purpose

You use this report to upload allocations from an external source to the Transportation Management (TM) system. Additionally, with this report, you can change specific buckets of existing allocations.

NOTE

If you want to change existing allocations, enter the allocation ID in your external source.

Integration

Prerequisites

You have configured the relevant settings in Customizing for Transportation Management. For example, you have defined locations, carriers, and allocation types that are used in the allocations you want to upload to your TM system.

Features

This report only supports the XML based Microsoft Excel worksheet file format.

Selection

Standard Variants

If you select the Overwrite existing bucketscheckox, the system creates all buckets from your external source. At the same time, the system searches for conflicts in existing buckets for a particular carrier on a specific trade lane that have a start date or an end date that is in the time period of a bucket for the same carrier and trade lane in the external source. For every conflict found, the system deletes the affected buckets.

If you do not select the Overwrite existing bucketscheckbox, the system checks any buckets that already exist for a particular carrier on a specific trade lane. It only creates buckets before or after the time periods of existing buckets.

Output

The system cannot save the following information when uploading allocations from an external source to the TM system:

• Freight agreement

• Item

• Schedule

• Attribute

Additionally, the system determines the following information when uploading allocations from an external source to the TM system irrespective of the data you entered in the external source:

• Trade lane

• Allocation ID

• Details such as current volume and current weight

Activities

Besides executing this report, you can also upload allocations from an external source to the TM system by doing one of the following:

• Choose the Upload Allocations pushbutton in the allocations worklist

• Choose the Upload Allocations pushbutton in the allocation UI
