Purpose

You use this report to download the stock population from the Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) system, so that it can be used by a third-party system for sample-based physical inventory.

This data can be used for product-specific and location-specific physical inventory procedures.

This is the first step of the sample-based physical inventory in the EWM system.

Integration

Prerequisites

You have defined the following physical inventory procedures for the selected physical inventory area in the Customizing activity Define Physical Inventory Area:

  • External Procedure (Product-Specific) for product based physical inventory
  • External Procedure (Storage-Bin-Specific)for loaction based physical inventory

Features

Selection

Enter PI Sample ID and a valid date in the Expiry date field to avoid deletion of the application log before the sample-based physical inventory procedure has finished.

If you select the checkbox "Add Bins Without Selected Products", the system adds the bins that do not contain products with the selected attributes. These bin are either empty or contain products with different attributes.

Standard Variants

Output

  • The system only selects quants and bins from PI areas that allow the external procedures.
  • The report downloads this data as a CSV or XLS data file to a PC or as a CSV data file to a server, so that it can be used by a third-party system for sample-based physical inventory.
  • The structure of the downloaded data is given by DDIC structure /SCWM/S_DOWNLOAD_STOCK_POP and includes quants and empty bins.
  • The report produces only one line for stock on a bin that has the same stock attributes. This can happen if there are multiple HUs with the same stock in one bin. As the HU information is not downloaded, the quantities of the stock are accumulated. If there are different alternative UoMs for stock with the same attributes in one bin, the quantity is only returned in the base UoM.
