Purpose

You use this report to create HU structure templates for your warehouse. You can create hierarchies of HU structure templates by assigning a sub-HU structure template or a sub-packaging material to a HU structure template.

You can also define a position number template for numbering the HU positions of a HU structure template.

You can also extend a HU structure template with your own fields using the SAP Easy Enhancement Framework (EEW), and this report can be used to maintain values for your own fields.

You can also use this report to change or delete existing HU structure templates.

You can also display change documents for a selected HU structure template.

Prerequisites

You have defined packaging materials for defining HU structure templates.

Selection

This report selects HU structure templates for a single warehouse.

Standard Variants

Output

HU structure templates are created.

You can then generate HUs using the /SCWM/R_RACK_GEN report.

Activities

Example

The system calculates the position numbers of HU positions using the values of fields that define the maximum positions in each axis and the position number template of the HU structure template. The following are examples of different combinations of maximum positions and numbering templates:

  1. HU structure template with following data:
Max. Position in X-Coordinate: 125
Max. Position in Y-Coordinate: 0
Max. Position in Z-Coordinate: 0
Position Number Template: XXX
The numbering of HU positions of this HU structure template is 001, 002, 003, ..., 125.
  1. HU structure template with following data:
Max. Position in X-Coordinate: 125
Max. Position in Y-Coordinate: 0
Max. Position in Z-Coordinate: 0
Position Number Template: Space
The numbering of HU positions of this HU structure template is 1, 2, 3, ..., 125.
  1. HU structure template with following data:
Max. Position in X-Coordinate: 2
Max. Position in Y-Coordinate: 2
Max. Position in Z-Coordinate: 2
Position Number Template: XXX
The numbering of HU positions of this HU structure template is as follows:
  • 001-001-001

  • 002-001-001

  • 001-002-001

  • 002-002-001

  • 001-001-002

  • 002-001-002

  • 001-002-002

  • 002-002-002.

  1. HU structure template with following data:
Max. Position in X-Coordinate: 2
Max. Position in Y-Coordinate: 2
Max. Position in Z-Coordinate: 0
Position Number Template: XX
The numbering of HU positions of this HU structure template is 01-01, 02-01, 01-02, 02-02.
  1. HU structure template with following data:
Max. Position in X-Coordinate: 6
Max. Position in Y-Coordinate: 0
Max. Position in Z-Coordinate: 0
Position Number Template: X
The numbering of HU positions of this HU structure template is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
