Purpose

This report automatically sets the shipping readiness status of outbound delivery orders from Not Ready to Ready. If all parts of a delivery are ready to be shipped, its shipping readiness status can be set to Ready.

You can specify the prerequisites for setting a delivery as ready for shipping in Customizing. These might be that it is picked, packed, and staged, for example. This report analyzes your Customizing settings and finds matching outbound delivery orders.

You have made settings in Customizing. For more information, see the Customizing activity Set Shipping Readiness for Deliveries Automatically in Customizing for Extended Warehouse Management.

Features

Selection

To run the report, you can enter criteria relating to delivery documents, or you can specify a time frame. For example, you can specify that the system should find deliveries that were picked within the past hour or past day.

The selection criterion Package Size refers to the number of deliveries that the system updates at once. For performance reasons, the system groups deliveries together and sets the shipping readiness status group by group.

Standard Variants

Output

The system changes the shipping readiness status of deliveries that match the selection criteria from Not Ready to Ready. It displays a log showing which deliveries were updated. It also displays the reason as to why certain deliveries could not be set to Ready, for example, if they are not yet staged.

Simulation Mode

You can also run the report in simulation mode. In simulation mode, a data update is simulated, but the update is not saved to the database. The system confirms in a log how many and which deliveries can have their shipping readiness status set to Ready.

Activities

You can schedule this report to run in a background job, for example, every 30 minutes.
