Purpose

You can use this report to schedule snapshot creation. For example, you can create the physical stock snapshot, inbound delivery snapshot, outbound delivery snapshot, and warehouse task snapshot. You schedule this report execution on a daily basis.

The snapshots that the system creates are of the following types based on the purpose of snapshot:

  • Immediate execution
The system creates the snapshot by immediately copying all the business document data to the snapshot. For example, the system copies the physical stock data as the snapshot data immediately after you execute the report.
  • Period relevant execution
The system creates the snapshot by copying one entire day of the business document data to the snapshot. For example, the system copies all the inbound deliveries confirmed during the previous day as the snapshot data. The data for the previous day is considered from 00:00:00 hours to 23:59:59 hours. Note that the system does not take into account offset days that you have specified for the snapshot in SAP Menu under Extended Warehouse Management -> Settings -> Billing -> Settings for Snapshots.

If you have selected the Simulationcheckbox, the system executes the snapshot creation in simulation mode. The system displays the results without creating an actual snapshot.

You can view detailed execution result in the application log in transaction SLG1. To do this, you can search the external id with the syntax _SNAPSHOT. For example, W001_SNAPSHOT.
