/SMB/MIGRATE_SIM_MATNR - Migrate SIM Material Number

Purpose

With this report, numeric material numbers in tables /SMB/BB_PRJ_H, /SMB/SIM, /SMB/SIM_HIST and /SMB/SIM_MAT (field MATNR) are migrated to a length of 40.

Integration

Tables /SMB/BB_PRJ_H, /SMB/SIM, /SMB/SIM_HIST and /SMB/SIM_MAT contained a material number field based on data element MATNR. The conversion exit of its domain MATNR resulted into errors because its dependency on customizing. To solve this, the data element in tables /SMB/BB_PRJ_H, /SMB/SIM, /SMB/SIM_HIST and /SMB/SIM_MAT has been replaced by data element /SMB/MATNR_ALPHA that uses the alpha conversion exit.

Prerequisites

This report is for SAP Internal usage alone.

Features

Selection

When indicator All Clients is set then all clients except client 000 are processed. When the indicator is not set, then only current client is processed.

When indicator Simulation is set, then no database changes are done. When the indicator is not set, then changes are written to database.

Standard Variants

Output

Number of records to be changed.

Activities

The migration was started automatically while lifecycle (Upgrade 1911) and therefore a manual execution of this report is not necessary.
