Purpose

This report is scheduled automatically by the content change notification process. It is used to retry the sending of callback URLs that received a server error (5XX) in the previous call.

Integration

Prerequisites

You have created an RFC destination for the callback URL host and registered this RFC destination in the transaction /UI2/CDM3_EXP_CCNREG.

Features

Selection

Standard Variants

Output

Activities

The checkbox Log retries without actionis disabled by default. The default behavior is that only logs are written into the database when a callback was sent. The message "No notification had to be sent" is not being stored. When activating this checkbox, also these messages create a log entry.

The checkbox Do not save logsenables the program run without saving the logs into the database.

Example

The retry job uses the lowest retry number to determine its next schedule and is scheduled with an increasing time interval.

Below you see the next schedule time based on the retry counter:

1 => 1 minute

2 => 5 minutes

3 => 10 minutes

4 => 1 hour

5 => 4 hours

6 => 1 day

After the 6th retry, the retry report schedules itself once per day until the callback URL is either received again with a delta request, answers with a valid return code, or is removed from the database.
