Purpose

This report program provides the user administration functionality available in the B2B scenario. It allows a learning manager (LM) or a company administrator (CA) to register learners on their behalf.

The LM or CA can use the user interface (UI) created using module pool programming to perform the registration process.

Integration

Prerequisites

The LM or CA gives the necessary details to create the learner such as salutation, first name, last name, email address, country, language, and other optional fields.

Features

This is a module pool report/program to create operations employee learner profile for on-behalf scenarios.

Selection

As this report is used for B2B scenarios, it becomes necessary for the learner to be assigned to a company.

The registration screen provides an option to maintain company relationship by specifying the company to which the learner is to be assigned. You can also select a department or a function name.

Once the company assignment is done, you maintain a date field to show the effective date.

It also allows you to maintain learning manager relationship; the screen shows a non-editable field for the learning manager, which is enabled on company assignment.

Standard Variants

Output

The following validations are carried out:

  • Check whether all the mandatory fields are filled or not.
  • Check whether the entered email address is valid or not.
  • Check whether a learner account exists for the given email address or not.

Once these validations succeed:

  • The learner profile is created successfully and the system shall assign a unique lifelong learner ID to the created profile.
  • The system shall generate a password for the created profile.

After successful creation of the learner profile:

  • The system shall send a confirmation email to the registered learner containing his account information (alias, password) and an activation link, and also shows a confirmation message to the learning manager.
  • If the learner opens the confirmation link from his/her email, the system shall activate the newly created learner profile and open the profile for further maintenance.

Activities

To create an OE learner profile, use the /XLSO/LP01 transaction.
