Functionality

The business transaction document (BTD) get all children service enables a calling application such as an activity, user interface, or custom application to retrieve all members of an object hierarchy associated with a BTD in SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII).

Example

If you write your own activity for inbound or outbound deliveries in an integrated scenario, you can call this service to retrieve all objects belonging to a pallet (hierarchy) in the BTD expected object node of a given BTD. This can be useful to match partially scanned hierarchies with the expected hierarchy within the BTD.

Interaction with Physical Object

All object IDs within the accessed node of the BTD must exist as instances of physical objects (see function group /AIN/PUB_POBJ).

Commit handling

This service does not change any data; therefore, it does not commit any information to the SAP AII database.

Message handling

Messages generated by the services are not stored in any application log. It is the responsibility of the calling application to store the application log entries in the relevant application log objects. All the messages that are generated during the service call are returned to the calling application.
