Functionality

The business transaction document (BTD) retrieve service enables a calling application such as an activity, user interface, or custom application to retrieve data from BTDs in SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII).

Example

If you write your own activity for inbound or outbound deliveries in an integrated scenario, you can call this service to retrieve BTD data which can then be sent to the backend system.

Notes

This core service documentation is intended for technical developers and implementation consultants. For information about the individual parameters, see the SAP AII system documentation on parameters.

Interaction with Physical Object

All object IDs in any node of the BTD must exist as instances of physical object (see function group /AIN/PUB_POBJ).

Commit Handling

This service does not change any data; therefore, it does not commit any information to the SAP AII database.

Message Handling

Messages generated by the services are not stored in any application log. It is the responsibility of the calling application to store the application log entries in the relevant application log objects. All the messages that are generated during the service call are returned to the calling application.
