Functionality

The determine print fields service returns the fields that are to be printed on a label or written to the user memory of the tag based on input parameters and their values. First, the service determines a profile from a condition table based on the input parameters and their values and then returns the fields contained in the profile. The service determines the printer label format to use from the device group and profile.

Example

Notes

You can create your own condition tables and add them to the element set SAP_TAGCOMM_COND_TABS. The service then determines the profile from element set as well as the user-defined condition tables. These condition tables must have the following fields: CLIENT, EPC_VERSION, EPC_TYPE, PROFILE_TYPE, and PROFILE in addition to any other fields that you desire.

This core service documentation is intended for technical developers and implementation consultants. For information about the individual parameters, see the Parameters system documentation.

Message Handling

The messages generated by the services are not stored in any application log. It is the responsibility of the calling application to store the application log entries in the relevant application log objects. All the messages that are generated during the service call are returned to the calling application.
