Functionality

This method is used to create exchange rates. It checks if a data record already exists for the specified key. If not, an error message appears in the Return parameter. The key consists of the MDCODE, RATETYPE, FROMCCY, TOCCY, CONVTYPE parameters.

The possible input values are either stored as fixed values in the system or are checked against the relevant Customizing.

To finalize the data postings to the database, you have to terminate the COMMIT WORK order. You can do this, for example, by calling the BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT function module.
