Functionality
This method is used to change interest rates. The method checks whether a data record already exists for the key specified. If this is not the case, an error message is displayed in the 'Return' return parameter. This key consists of the MDCODE, REFRATE and SPRDTYPE parameters.
Possible input parameters are either recorded as fixed values in the system or are checked against the corresponding Customizing settings.
Data is deleted in the system using a "logical delete". This is controlled by the STATUS parameter. A new version is generated here, which is defined in the system as being logically deleted.
The user must start the commit work command explicitly to trigger final update of the data in the database. This can be done by accessing the BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT function module.
The method only saves a new version if the market data value differs from the previous version.
