Functionality

This function module can be used to integrate the connector for the SAP Financial Services Network to the Application Link Enabling (ALE) environment. This enables the connector to send text IDocs as messages to the SAP Financial Services Network.

The interface of the module is defined as Standard API in ALE. The data is maintained from the ALE layer.

In inbound processing, the function module is started by the ALE layer. It converts the data from the IDoc to the FSNMessage format.

The execution of this module writes a new IDoc status, which indicates whether the creation of the message within the connector completed successfully (status 53) or with errors (status 51).

The ALE layer writes the IDoc status depending on the result of the message creation only. If, for example, the creation of a message succeeded but errors occurred during the sending of the message, then the IDoc status remains as 53. In this case, you must track the status of the message in the Connector Monitor.
