Functionality

You use this function module to create a financial plan for an existing master project. For each financial plan that you want to create, you also require the following information:

  • The master project ID
  • The start and end dates for the financial plan
  • The currency for the financial plan
  • The structure for the financial plan (enter E for master project structure and O for bid structure)

For the following information, refer to the Customizing settings for SAP Commercial Project Management, under Project Cost and Revenue Planning > Define Plan Scenarios:

  • A valid plan scenario that is associated to the master project type of the master project (see the Customizing settings in the activity step Link Plan Scenario to Master Project Types)
  • A plan type for the plan scenario (see the Customizing settings in the activity step Link Plan Scenario to Master Project Types)
  • (Optional) A version type that is valid for the plan scenario (see the Customizing settings in the activity step Link Plan Scenario to Version Type)
If you do not provide a version type, the system creates a new plan version using the default version type specified in Customizing.

Notes

  • You require the necessary authorizations to create financial plans.
  • To create a financial plan with a bid structure, you must enter O as the value for the import parameter IV_PLAN_STRUCTURE. Also note that structure elements of your bid structure are created as subnodes of the main node, which is represented by the financial plan. Hence, when you create new structure elements, do not use 1 as input for the plan item ID. However, you can enter 1 or ' ' (blank space) as input for the parent ID of a structure element if you are creating subnodes under the main node.
