Functionality

You use this function module to update details of a financial plan, update the plan version, and create a new version of a financial plan. To use this function module, you require the following information:

  • The financial plan ID
  • (Optional) A plan scenario that is associated with the master project type of the financial plan (see Customizing for SAP Commercial Project Management, under Project Cost and Revenue Planning > Define Plan Scenarios > Link Plan Scenario to Master Project Types)
  • (Optional) A plan type for the plan scenario (see Customizing for SAP Commercial Project Management, under Project Cost and Revenue Planning > Define Plan Scenarios > Link Plan Scenario to Master Project Types)
  • (Optional) The structure for the financial plan (enter E for master project structure or O for bid structure)
  • (Optional) The version type for the plan scenario (see Customizing for SAP Commercial Project Management, under Project Cost and Revenue Planning > Define Plan Scenarios > Link Plan Scenario to Version Type)
  • If you provide a version number and a version type, the system updates the version type of the specified plan version.

  • If you do not provide a version number, then the system creates a new version with the default version type maintained in Customizing.

  • If you provide only a version type, the system creates a new version of the specified version type.

  • (Optional) The status of the financial plan and the version (see Customizing for SAP Commercial Project Management, under Project Cost and Revenue Planning > Define Plan Scenarios)
Note that the status must belong to the corresponding status profiles entered in Customizing.
